SERVICE AND REFUGEE BAPTISMS
On Trinity Sunday Border Kirk, Carlisle recognised the long service of two elders, Alfred Brown (50 years) and Gillian Robinson (30 years).
The Rev Wes Brandon recognised their dedication, commitment and value to the church.
He also gave thanks to May Moffat, whose Prayer Shawl ministry has given comfort over the years especially during the past two years of lockdown.
Most special, however, was the moving baptism of four Iranian refugees, following another four who were baptised before (no names or photos are included as their situation is still vulnerable). The church has provided Farsi bibles and arranged for the intimations and order of service to be translated for them.
