World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary the Rev Prof Dr Jerry Pillay extended greetings to the Communion of Churches in Indonesia, celebrating its 75th anniversary.

“Your dedication to advocating for justice and standing with the marginalized has been an inspiration to the global Christian community,” Pillay wrote. “Your longstanding commitment to dialogue and co-operation has contributed greatly to the broader ecumenical movement.”

Pillay added that the Communion of Churches in Indonesia has been a prophetic voice calling for reconciliation and unity in Christ.

“Your work in theological education, disaster response, and social transformation continues to reflect the deep love of Christ for all people,” wrote Pillay. “As you celebrate this anniversary, we give thanks to God for your faithful ministry and for the countless lives you have touched through your witness.”
