The Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt Rev Dr Shaw Paterson, visited Cairngryffe Parish Church in South Lanarkshire recently, leading worship and presenting three elders with long service certificates. Lily Borthwick has been an elder for 32 years, and Elizabeth Hiddleston and Denham Macdougall for 32 years. Mrs Borthwick has also been church officer for 40 years, and Mrs Hiddleston and Mr Macdougall have been congregational worship leaders for over 20 years.
