Reader Thanks
Spending almost six months in hospital, as I’ve been doing, after a fall that damaged my spinal cord, is not what anybody would want. But it has opened up new visions for me.
Some people might ask why God did this to me. My answer is that God didn’t do this to me: I did it by not being careful. But God knew it would happen and put everything in place for my eventual recovery, and every day brings me fresh examples of His love and increases my faith in Him.
Which leads me to why I’m sending you this message.
During nineteen years as a parish minister in Fife I received Life and Work every month. I confess I didn’t always read it. However, my sister came to visit me in hospital recently and brought some copies of Life and Work, and I have read them all from cover to cover. They impressed me so much that my wife has set up a subscription and our first copy arrived this week.
This will be shared with our minister (retired) in Middlewich as he also enjoys the magazine.
Well done! Keep up the good work!
Every blessing,
Bill Farquhar (Rev), Middlewich, Cheshire
