Stamp appeal

The Church of Scotland’s stamp appeal has raised more than £18,000 for an environmental project in Africa.

By late November, stamps collected in 2023 and 2024 had raised £18,613.50 for the Firmly Planted Project in Malawi to create tree nurseries. This project will continue until March 2025.

Church congregations are again invited to gather in stamps to raise funds for projects overseas. Used stamps are gathered in, sorted and sold to collectors. The success of the scheme depends on the support given to it by congregations, organisations and individuals throughout Scotland who regularly send packets of used stamps. Organisers are also appealing to anyone who may wish to dispose of collections to consider donating to the appeal.

Stamps can be donated by post to Keith Scott, Dene Hard, Garelochhead, Helensburgh, G84 0EL or hand delivered to Glasgow Presbytery Office (open Monday-Friday, 9am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm).

If you believe your stamp collection is valuable or you are unable to send the collection by post, contact Keith Scott on 07521 320 287 or keithscott143@gmail.com
