Pet blessing
As part of the Season of Creation, Largo Parish church held a Pet Blessing service.
The service was the inspiration of Fiona Ramsay, Largo’s Youth and Family Worker, and Fiona was joined by the Rev Jane Barron and one of her three spaniels.
Several Messy Church youngsters and members of the Largo Worship Team led prayers giving thanks for all God’s creatures. Most of the pets were dogs but in true Vicar of Dibley form, people without pets brought teddy bears.
The service was attended by dozens of people who would not normally be in church on a Sunday morning.
And as proof miracles still happen, no poo bags or carpet shampoo were required!
