Prayer

I give thanks For the light of morning Arriving with possibility And an invitation to me

I give thanks For the shape of air Running through and around me With life itself

I give thanks For the colours in the day Scattered by sunrise And blessed with sunsets

I give thanks For you The imaginer The creator The restorer Who heals my soul With this gift of creation And calls me loved In every breath of sky

In such a place May I lay down Before you O God The bruises and pain The hurts and the wrongs And trust the blessedness of creation Filters and flows With a grace that redeems My every offence

And I can pause in such wonder And hold onto such hope And fill my soul with such promise: Your ever-giving gift And ever-present presence

And give thanks For the faith I find In the work of creation Alive with holy being

Thank you
