Cameroon attacks

Since the start of 2024 at least 1,500 people have been displaced in the area, due to regular attacks.

“The attacks are getting too much,” says Pastor Paul. “But the people don’t have many options. Their farms and lives cannot be moved. So, they return, hoping that God keeps them safe.”

The village had faced a similar attack in January, when 100 Boko Haram fighters looted 10 Christian homes, and killed Ngahadek Doula, a woman in her late 60s, as they shot randomly at her house. (Open Doors)

A man was killed and numerous livelihoods destroyed destroyed in an attack by Islamist fighters from Boko Haram on a village in Cameroon on March 15 - the second attack on the village this year.

The attack took place in the village of Lambram, near the Nigerian border in the far north of Cameroon.

Mogozo Tehawa, a Christian father of five, was shot in the head. The militants looted animals, food, and seedlings from the villagers. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

“We usually go up to the mountain to spend the night since Boko Haram frequently attacks our houses,” Pastor Paul of the evangelical church explained. “That night he delayed, and because he couldn’t hear well, he did not hear their footsteps.
