New elders

Two new elders have been ordained in Inverarity Church. Katie Gerrard (left) and Helen Pate are pictured with the Rev Barbara Ann Sweetin, who ordained them to the session of Forfar East, Old and Inverarity.

In November Saline and Blairingone Parish Church welcomed four new elders. John Hull was admitted while Jack Shuttleworth, Irene Wardell and Andrew Smith were ordained. Jack Shuttleworth is the son of church minister, the Rev Alec Shuttleworth; while Andrew Smith is the husband of the Rev Fiona Smith, Principal Clerk to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, who also took part in the service.
