Long service
Neil Sutherland of Elgin High Church was presented with a certificate of long service by the Rev Deon Oelofse on November 5, recognising 50 years as a ruling elder. The presentation took place during the final service at Elgin High, which entered a union with St Giles and St Columba’s South Elgin together with Birnie and Pluscarden on December 1.
James B Muir of Kilwinning: Abbey Church was recently presented with a certificate marking 50 years in the eldership. Jim was ordained as an elder in November 1973 and since then has served on various committees and held a variety of posts. The presentation was made by Isobel Beck DCS.
Ten members of Clydebank: Kilbowie St Andrew’s Church have been presented with certificates recognising long service in various roles.
