A North Lanarkshire church raised over £1000 in two charity events within seven days.
The first event at Bellshill Central Parish Church was a coffee morning, where two members of the HOPE for Autism team visited to talk about the work they do in the area. £262 was raised.
That was followed by a Big Sing Songs of Praise in aid of Leprosy Mission Scotland, a joint venture with Newarthill and Carfin Church. The churches’ two organists took part and each directed the combined choir. The event raised over £700.
