LAUNCH OF CHURCH OF SCOTLAND LEARNING

August 2023

BREAKING NEWS

Kay Cathcart People and Training

Jesus calls us now to follow him, just as he did with his first disciples.

What that means and what that looks like will be different for each one of us, depending on our circumstances and personalities. We all want to be following Jesus – activating our faith, living out all that God shows us and grows in us. We want to be following Jesus together – encouraging each other to grow in faith, courage and confidence.

The Church of Scotland has created a new learning portal where everyone can access learning opportunities that are practical, relevant and productive. The new courses and materials are open to all, they are not offered at academic level and they are not assessed. We hope that for some, this will be a first step in engaging more fully with our faith.

Most of the new materials are best explored in a group setting so full facilitator notes have been provided. You can use the materials any way that suits you to meet the needs around you, whether that be through congregations, presbyteries, intergenerationally, ecumenically, in the community or online.

The first wave of innovative development resources will be available from mid August.

Log on to the Church of Scotland website and look for Church of Scotland Learning.
