Platinum Jubilee celebrations

The Rev Ian Hamilton and his wife Margaret cut the cake at a celebration for the Platinum Jubilee in Freuchie Parish Church in Fife.

Broom Church in Newton Mearns, Glasgow, joined with various local community groups to celebrate the Jubilee by hosting a Showtime Concert and Fair.

The sunny weather was an added bonus as stallholders set up outside amidst the colourful bunting, whilst performers of all ages entertained everyone in the hall.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, including races for the children, hot dogs, burgers and ice cream and a special tree was planted.

Kinning Park Parish Church in Glasgow celebrated the Platinum Jubilee with a lunch on the Saturday attended by around 50 people including members of the congregation, friends from other local churches and the local community.

Broughty Ferry churches, near Dundee, held a successful Jubilee Pentecostal Picnic on June 5.

The sun shone brightly, the sky was blue and everyone was in party mood.

They celebrated in style with a piper, cake, loyal toast, tree planting, ice cream and kite flying. This was followed by a singsong by the enthusiastic crowd.

The three churches in Broughty Ferry are preparing to enter union and this was a wonderful experience in getting to know one another.
