A ‘resurrected’ cross was dedicated at Bridge of Don Oldmachar Church, Aberdeen, on Easter Sunday.
The cross was made from wood from the old cross from the roof of the building, which had to be brought down after it was found to be crumbling and the metal support corroded. One of the church members, after consultation with the property convener, used the wood he could salvage to construct a new one, which was then hung by contractors in a new location on the wall of the church.
