GRANTS AVAILABLE
A UK-wide churches trust is appealing for applications for grant support to church projects.
Allchurches Trust is one of the UK’s largest grant-making charities, funding projects from all parts of the UK and Ireland. Grants support the repair, restoration and wider community use of churches and cathedrals, and projects that tackle social issues such as homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.
In 2020, Allchurches Trust awarded more than £23 million to churches, charities and communities, supporting many impactful causes.
Among the projects recently supported in Scotland is the canal boat at Polwarth Parish Church in Edinburgh, which received a grant of £2,250.
For more information about the grant programmes available, get in touch with Andrew Bass, Grants Officer for Scotland: andrew.bass@allchurches.co.uk or visit www.allchurches.co.uk
Grants for community projects are also available from Tesco Community Grants.
The grant scheme provides grants of up to £1500 to support projects focused on supporting children and families or providing food. Projects are voted on by Tesco customers in stores across the UK, with projects changing every three months. It currently helps fund thousands of local community projects across the UK, helping to fight holiday hunger, tackle mental health, support young people, host community events and much more.
