PORTRAIT MARKS ANNIVERSARY
The Rev Alan Sorensen, minister of Wellpark Mid Kirk, Greenock, has been presented with a portrait of himself in his role as Deputy Lieutenant, to mark 21 years as minister of the church.
The portrait was painted and the presentation had been arranged for last year to mark 20 years in post, however lockdown meant that plans had to be postponed.
The portrait was painted by Les Donaghy, a professional artist, former minister and old friend of Mr Sorensen’s. Mr Sorensen said he was ‘completely overwhelmed’ by the gesture.
Mr Sorensen is pictured with Mr Donaghy and Session Clerk Grace Kennedy.
