70 YEARS AN ELDER
Twenty-three elders at St Michael’s Parish Church, Linlithgow, have received certificates in recognition of serving for at least 30 years in Michael’s.
Remarkably, senior elder David Morrison (pictured) received his certificate in recognition of 70 years of service since his ordination in March 1951. Although he now considers himself a ‘back-bencher’, he remains actively interested in the congregation’s life and work.
Also among the 23, June Adam, Jim Michie and Tom Chadwick have each given over 40 years’ service in St Michael’s, with William Ross and Alex Adam both reaching a half-century of service.
