The World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) has renewed its call to end the USA’s blockade of Cuba.
Ahead of a United Nations discussion of a draft resolution against the decadeslong economic and financial blockade at the end of June, the Presbyterian- Reformed Church in Cuba said it had been a ‘harmful but failed tool’ which had caused shortages of food and medicine for the Cuban population.
In a statement, the WCRC called on its members and partners to ‘accompany this process in prayer for the Cuban people, who are ultimately suffering the consequences of this policy and to make pronouncements and actions to make this problem visible’.
