NEW MEMBERS

Port Glasgow New Parish Church welcomed 14 new members in May and June – with another two to follow.

Twelve people – Maureen McWilliams, Pauline McPaul, Pauline Murdoch, Hayley Hoodless, Linzi Wiggins, Taylor Mitchell.

Claire Steele, Lindi Steele, Gayle Boyle, Scott Derrick, Aynslie Knox and Linzi Derrick – were admitted on Sunday May 30 (pictured, with minister the Rev William Boyle).

Two others, Cameron Duffy and Gordon Hunter, who were unable to be there because of work commitments, became members on June 6; and another two, Abbie Hair and Louise Harte, will followat a later date.

Each of the new members went through a six-week new communicants’ class on Zoom. Initially there were just five new members in one class, but the demand grew until three classes were needed.
