I am responding to the Very Rev Dr Martin Fair’s encouragement to tell our favourite part of the Easter story. 

Thanks to you, Martin, for a beautiful article selecting yours. Of course, it’s all wonderful and I would select some of the same, perhaps specially the Emmaus Road and the great truth that Jesus walks with us in companionship along the way of life. But I have to say that with the name I was given by my parents my particular precious account must be of the Easter garden and the first appearance of the Risen Lord to Mary Magdalene.

I love to remember that he spoke my name with his human voice.

Throughout life of course in the Spirit he has spoken it many times but that is a particularly treasured Easter memory.
