MODERATOR TO DON KILT FOR CHRISTIAN AID

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt Rev Dr Martin F air, is donning his kilt and supporting Christian Aid this month at Scotland’s virtual Kiltwalk event.

This popular fundraising event gives Christian Aid Scotland supporters the opportunity to get active in their local area while raising funds for Christian Aid. The Kiltwalk takes place over the weekend of April 23-25. Those taking part decide which day and time suits, and take on any local Kiltwalk inspired challenge: go for a walk (short or long), cycle, skip, jump on a trampoline or take the family on a scavenger hunt! It’s up to you. Wearing a kilt is not compulsory!

With group events still not possible the Kiltwalk is a way to fundraise individually and safely, and all donations will be topped up by an extra 50% thanks to the Hunter Foundation

Dr Fair said: “Though by necessity it will be different this year, the Kiltwalk is more important than ever. It’s vital that we find ways to support development and charitable organisations when so much of their usual fundraising has been impossible.”

If you are interested in joining Christian Aid on the Kiltwalk, sign-up via https://www.thekiltwalk.co.uk/events, and select Christian Aid as your chosen charity.
