Written by the wife of a Church of Scotland minister, this charming travelogue traces principally a journey to Sri Lanka in 2017, but provides recollections of earlier travels with family.

Written with the intention of providing respite and bringing the colour of overseas to life for those who cannot travel at the moment, the books aims to bring to life travels to places from the US to Hong Kong, South Africa and Australia and from Iceland to Canada and Madeira.

With the focus on the adventure of 2017 – a return visit to Sri Lanka – the author had kept an audio diary and found every day had brought new colourful experiences – some expected, others less so, but that memories of previous trips also cropped up, providing further colour and adventure. The result of the diary is a book which brings to life the sight and sounds of Sri Lanka but also offers additional colour from around the globe.
