Bishop Michael Curry, Primate of the Episcopal Church in the USA, came to global attention in 2018 when he delivered a powerful sermon on love at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018.

As the descendant of slaves and son of a civil rights activist, he is well placed to consider some of the challenges facing a world gripped by a global pandemic today – including poverty, racism, selfishness, theological division and competing claims for God.

In this hardback he endeavours to show that the answer and solution to finding a better world lies in the ways of love, rather than hate.

Written in accessible language, this is a powerful testament to love and is at times shocking to be reminded of the racism experienced by his family, but it is the simplicity of the message of love and its power which is the pervading message.

In an introduction he writes: ‘However the future unfolds – whatever the detours, the trials, the troubles, the goal, the zenith or the pain – we shall overcome, not for ourselves alone, but for the entire human family.’
