CHARITY GNOME

A church elder raised over £1500 for a bereavement charity by walking 40 miles around his garden dressed as a gnome. Alan Harper, who is 76 and nicknamed ‘Gnomey’, from Crook of Devon in Kinross-shire raised the money for Richmond’s Hope, a church-founded charity which helps bereaved children. He walked round the garden 20 times a day for 20 days.
