FAIRTRADE COFFEE MORNING
The East Kilbride Fair Trade Group held a Coffee Morning in Greenhills Parish Church to promote fair trade in the town and across the world. The guest speaker was Frank Nyame, Chair of the local Ghana Welfare Association. He spoke of Ghanaian farmers who produce cocoa beans being too poor to buy the chocolate made from their produce. Eleven local primary schools took part in a poster competition and prizes were presented to the winners.
