MICHAEL HARVEY TO SPEAK IN EDINBURGH

Weekend of Invitation will speak on ‘The Invitation to Heal’ in Edinburgh this autumn. Michael Harvey will deliver the annual

Denis Duncan Lecture, to be held this year in St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church, on November 21.

The lecture is held annually by the Guild of Health and St Raphael, in partnership with the Church of Scotland, in memory of the Rev Dr Denis Duncan, a leading figure in the healing ministry. The lectures explore aspects of healing, health and wellbeing for Christians and churches.

This year’s event has been expanded to a half-day conference which will hear from a number of church organisations on how they are connecting with their communities through health and wellbeing. Tickets are free, but there is a suggested donation to the Guild of Health and St Professors Helen Bond and Jolyon Mitchell of the University of Edinburgh and Kamala Santos, a scriptwriter. Workshops will take place on subjects including scriptwriting, fight scenes and marketing and social media.
