May this moment,

O love-shaped God, be long enough, and with us willing enough, may it reshape us with a love that ever renews, redeems, recreates…

may we pause long enough, and breathe deep enough, that we might find what lies within that is beyond ourselves, and dares move in us miracles and wonder that re-imagine the world with new possibilities…

may we find the patience we need to slow down this moment, that we might hear the ancient words that flow within us, and have always done so from the dawn of time, weaving the sound: “I love you”

may this moment wait for us till our souls know, again, and our minds recognise, once more, and our hearts feel, anew, and our bodies remember, we are made in a word of love: a breath that reshapes dust into the beauty of who we are and breathes of eternity…

may we halt this moment, that we might recover the perspective of heaven in the adventures of the world, and steadily restore the pattern of holiness in pausing, in praying, by breathing in your ever ancient yet ever new generosity of love, O love-shaped God.
