ECUMENICAL MEETING

The annual meeting between the Roman Catholic Church’s Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID) and the World Council of Churches was held in Rome on January 10-11. Staff of both the PCID and the Office of Interreligious Dialogue and Co-operation of the World Council of Churches participated.

They exchanged news and views on various activities undertaken in the last year and mutually shared planned programs.

An important aspect of the meeting was an update on the document titled ‘Education for Peace in a Multi-Religious World’, the latest joint project between the two offices. Participants also brainstormed and mapped out a plan for a future joint project.

Expressing happiness over the increasing mutual collaboration between the two offices over the years, both delegations reiterated their desire to continue their common engagement, ecumenically, in the service of interreligious dialogue.
