PARLIAMENTARY RECOGNITION
Uniformed organisations at St Andrew and St Nicholas Church in Glasgow have received parliamentary recognition for their work collecting food and toys for those in need last Christmas.
Local MP Christopher Stephens raised an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons praising the 167th Glasgow Company Boys’ Brigade, 4th Cardonald Brownies, 5th Cardonald Brownies and 3rd Cardonald Girl Guides, thanks to whom he said ‘some families and children will have a better Christmas than might otherwise have been the case’.
The MP visited the church to present a copy of the Motion and is pictured with leaders of the uniformed organisations. From left: Stewart Boyle, Victoria Gibson, Christopher Stephens MP, Rhona Boyle, Dorothy Steven.
