OVER 1000 YEARS
At a special service held in St Cuthbert’s Parish Church, Saltcoats, 29 members were recognised for a remarkable total of 1436 years’ service to the Church.
Conducting the service and making the presentations, visiting preacher the Rev Alan Ward said: “I am in awe of the commitment and stamina of so many people who have served the Church so faithfully for so many years. You are an example of dedication which we hope many others will follow.”
The awards were presented to: Choir members: William Parker (27 years), Jean Mitchell (28), Rosslyn Lee (32), Elizabeth Barclay (32), Jessie Brown (45), Rosemary Smith (46), John Gallagher (47), Ann Turner (50), Ena Grove (50), Evelyn Slater (65).
