CONGREGATIONAL TRADITION

Libberton and Quothquan Church, in the Presbytery of Lanark, celebrated their annual outdoor service beside the old Quothquan Church on August 13.

The service, a congregational tradition, is held outside the ruin of the church which was left unused following the union of the parishes in 1724. The bell, dating from 1641, is still in the tower.

Life and Work staff are available for talks to Guilds and other church groups.
