CHRISTIANS URGED TO SHARE THEIR FAITH
The Church of Scotland is urging members to share how faith has enriched their lives.
The Sharing Faith campaign seeks people to open up about the impact following Jesus has made by appearing in the Mission and Discipleship Council’s Life Stories video series.
Each month the remarkable stories of people who have encountered God will be posted online in the hope other followers of Christ will share their experiences too.
The Rev Dr Martin Fair, convener of the Why Believe Group who created the campaign, said he hoped the stories would ‘encourage and inspire’ congregations to have the confidence to explain to others the benefits of having a deep faith.
“Each video will tell a unique story,” the minister of St Andrew’s Parish Church in Arbroath added. “Yet all will evidence that God is very much alive and well within the Church of Scotland today.
“We ask people to share these videos as widely as possible and to ask their minister to use them in worship.”
The videos will be available monthly on www.resourcingmission.org.uk/mission/life-stories. A four-week course for church groups in sharing faith is available at www.resourcingmission.org.uk/mission/sharing-faith
