CYCLE PILGRIMAGE

Several Church of Scotland churches will be hosting a bike pilgrimage for persecuted Christians that will pass through the country in late May.

The pilgrimage is in aid of Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), which advocates for persecuted Christians, and direct aid charity Release International. Among the group are three Anglican vicars and a Baptist minister.

At each stop, the pilgrims will be hosted by local churches, and on most evenings local Christians are being invited to join them at 7pm for 7.30pm to pray for the millions of persecuted Christians around the world. The prayer venues in Scotland are:

• Wednesday May 17: Kinlochbervie Church of Scotland (Commissioning Service)

• Thursday May 18: Lairg Free Church of Scotland

• Friday May 19: Dingwall Free Church of Scotland

• Saturday May 20: Smithton Free Church of Scotland, Inverness

• Monday May 22: Kincraig Church of Scotland

• Wednesday May 24: Pitlochry Baptist Church

• Thursday May 25: Perth Baptist Church

• Friday May 26: Queensferry Parish Church

• Saturday May 27: Biggar Kirk

• Tuesday May 30: Troqueer Parish Church
