The Rev Evelyn Hope, a retired Church of Scotland minister, has published an anthology study book for Lent based on the Ruthwell Cross.

The eighth century Anglo-Saxon cross stands in the parish church at Ruthwell, in Dumfries and Galloway.

The book was launched at a meeting of the Presbytery of Dumfries and Kirkcudbright, and proceeds from its sale will be donated to the upkeep of Ruthwell Church buildings. Evelyn is pictured with Jennifer Squires, Presybytery Elder from Cummertrees, Mouswald and Ruthwell.
